The Heart of Pullman

People Helping People (PHP) is a Christ-centered non-profit dedicated to serving the Pullman, Michigan community.
Born from a recognition of local needs in 2005 and formally established in 2010,
PHP strives to be a welcoming resource that meets daily needs and equips individuals
to reach their God-given potential. Their mission is to show the hope found in a relationship with Jesus
by helping people with their daily needs and empowering them to flourish.

PHP’s vision is to create a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered destination where individuals are valued,
needs are met, and opportunities for worship, living, working, learning, playing, and thriving are abundant.
This includes strengthening connections within the broader Pullman community. Serving a rural area where many families face
significant challenges, including poverty, limited access to resources, and unstable living conditions,
PHP provides a crucial anchor of support. By offering a warm, safe environment, regular meals, and various programs,
PHP helps children and families move beyond daily survival to grow and thrive.

The 2025 Cereal Drive will run from May 1st-31st. Please consider donating to help the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative keep our youngest residents fed this summer because hunger does NOT take a summer vacation.

Kids' Food Basket

Kids' Food Basket is a Michigan-based nonprofit dedicated to attacking childhood hunger and increasing access to healthy food for children and families. Their core belief is that food is a right, not a privilege. They primarily achieve this through their "Sack Supper" program, providing nutritious evening meals to thousands of children in West Michigan across Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa, and Allegan counties. Beyond direct food provision, Kids' Food Basket also engages in sustainable farming, community food distribution, and educational programming, all while mobilizing volunteers and community partners to break down systemic barriers to food insecurity and foster long-term food equity.

Hungry For Christ is a Christian-based nonprofit in Hamilton, Michigan, dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by rescuing and distributing edible food that would otherwise be discarded. Founded in 2000, they leverage connections with over 50 food manufacturers and distributors to receive and then freely give food to over 220 nonprofit partners across 13 West Michigan counties. Inspired by Matthew 25:35, their mission encompasses various programs like their Food Pantry Sharing Program, Backpack Sharing Program for students, Family Pantry, and Mobile Pantry, all aimed at providing nutritious food and addressing both physical and spiritual hunger in the communities they serve.

D's Auto & Truck Repair in Holland, Michigan, has been serving the community since 2005, founded by Daris DeGroot with a commitment to honest and transparent auto and transmission repair. They prioritize educating customers about their vehicle's needs, offering a wide range of services including oil changes, brake repair, engine diagnostics, AC service, transmission work, and wheel alignments for both domestic and import vehicles. With ASE-Certified technicians and a focus on integrity, D's Auto & Truck Repair aims to provide reliable service and a positive experience for every customer, even offering loaner cars or a free shuttle for convenience.

Fearless Family of Churches, also known as Fearless Followers, is a Michigan-based nonprofit committed to helping people "Follow Jesus and Fearlessly Make Him Known." This network of churches, including Anchor Church, Cultivate Church, Ridge Point Church, and Third Coast Church, focuses on making disciples, developing leaders, and planting new churches both locally and globally. Beyond their Sunday services and community groups, they actively engage in outreach initiatives, such as providing support to local schools and engaging in mission trips, all with the aim of bringing hope and restoration to their communities and beyond.

Love in the Name of Christ | Allegan County

Love In The Name Of Christ (Love INC) is a national non-profit movement that mobilizes local churches to meet the needs of their communities in the name of Christ. Love INC acts as a bridge, connecting individuals and families in need with resources and volunteers from a network of diverse Christian churches. They go beyond simply providing material aid, aiming for holistic transformation by fostering relationships, offering practical assistance like food, clothing, and household goods, and providing educational and mentoring programs to help people achieve long-term stability and address the root causes of their struggles, all while demonstrating the love of Christ.

Meijer's Simply Give

Meijer's Simply Give is a year-round hunger relief program that empowers customers to fight food insecurity in their local communities. Since its inception in 2008, Simply Give has raised over $100 million for local food pantries across the Midwest by allowing customers to purchase $10 donation cards at checkout. These donations are converted into Meijer food-only gift cards, giving partner food pantries the flexibility to purchase the exact items they need, including fresh produce, meat, and even baby necessities like formula and diapers. Meijer often amplifies these efforts with special matching days, demonstrating a deep commitment to ensuring neighbors in need have access to nourishing food.

Camp Beechpoint
Camp Beechpoint

Nestled on the beautiful shores of Dumont Lake in Southwest Michigan, Camp Beechpoint has been a beacon of Christian faith and outdoor adventure since 1959. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to reaching urban and under-resourced youth and families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a quality Christian camping experience. Offering a range of programs from summer camps and youth retreats to leadership training, Camp Beechpoint provides a safe and engaging environment where campers can grow spiritually, build lifelong friendships, and participate in exciting activities, all while experiencing the transformative hope that Christ offers.
