Compensation: $90,000 – $130,000 + benefits

Core Duties:

  • Must be able to properly repair a car. We stand behind our work.
  • Perform fluid flushes, filter changes, and other preventive maintenance of multiple systems across all makes and models
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for necessary repairs and required parts. 
  • Diagnostic accuracy is a must! We hold our team to a high standard of diagnostic work. This includes: driveability, electrical, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as well as accurate records of all services performed on vehicles.
  • Help keep the shop clean, and be helpful and available with a can-do attitude
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques as required for performing day-to-day responsibilities.

What we’re looking for in an Automotive Technician:

  • A seasoned technician/mechanic with at least 5 years of diagnostic and repair experience
  • ASE Certification, or comparable state certification, preferred; we offer professional development assistance to get you certified if you are not already
  • Excellent communicator. Being able to describe what you identify on a vehicle is a vital part of becoming a successful technician, and helping us understand where you need help is a key part of growth
  • Verifiable history of being a steady, reliable technician. If you prefer to bounce from job to job every year, this isn’t the fit for you
  • Honesty is one of our core values. If you are dishonest, this isn’t the right fit for you
  • A positive attitude that takes pride in your work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools 
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment
  • High School diploma required
  • Must live within commutable distance to the shop or be willing to relocate if hired

Here are our expectations for our Service Advisors at D’s Automotive…

Duties: 

Check-in customers, understand their needs and concerns, educate them about preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth and timely dispatch to the technician.

Translate the technician’s inspection and diagnostic findings into a clear estimate and present that estimate in plain language that the customer can understand.

Organization and fulfillment of responsibilities related to service advising, including invoices, deliveries, returns, cores, and customer follow ups.

Be a problem solver! We have built our reputation by finding ways to care for our customers, neighbors, and community. We need somebody who delivers this vision consistently, in all things.

Treat every customer the way you’d want somebody to treat your mother, grandmother, or sister.

Master our systems, and learn how to lead the team with love, respect, and accountability to master them as well.

Work closely with ownership to develop strategies for growth that balance the company, customers and employees.
